Brooklin Village Physiotherapy is now offering online consultations, otherwise referred to as ‘Virtual physiotherapy’, with one of our registered physiotherapists via video communication when an in-person visit is not possible or necessary. This service will allow our physiotherapists to continue to provide their patients with their physiotherapy care in the comfort of their own home. We can use this technology to provide a thorough and detailed assessment, follow up appointments, wellness check-in, patient education including ergnomics, pain management strategies and exercise reviews and progressions. 

 

The video conference technology that Brooklin Village Physiotherapy utilizes is encrypted and secure meeting all the privacy and security demands set out by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.  The virtual platform can be accessed through your mobile device, laptop or desktop computer.

Most extended health care insurance providers, along with WSIB and some motor vehicle insurance companies have come on board to cover the cost of these Virtual Physiotherapy sessions, however we recommend that you contact your insurance company to confirm that your appointment will be covered. 

 

A summary of your appointment will then be emailed to you, along with any personalized exercises that you can access easily through your computer, an app on your smartphone or print your own sheet for home use.
