FAQs

Do I need a Doctor's referral?

You do not need a doctor's referral to see any of our physiotherapists at Brooklin Village Physiotherapy. However, some insurance companies require you to submit a doctor's referral in order to cover your appointments. We recommend that you contact your insurance provider to determine what they require of you.

What are the payment options?

We accept cash, cheque, VISA, MasterCard and debit. As well, we can bill directly online to a variety of insurance companies. Each insurance company varies, so we cannot guarantee the payment will go through online, but feel free to bring your insurance card and we will try our best to submit it.

I was referred to another clinic, can I still come to Brooklin Village Physio?

Yes, you are welcome to go to the clinic of your choice.

How long will each session last?

We start with our initial assessment which is 1 hour long includes a thorough evaluation by your physiotherapist and includes commencing your treatment plan.  Follow-up appointments are 30-45 minutes and include treatment and reassessment with your physiotherapist. .

What is your privacy policy?

We do not give out any information without your written consent and all the information provided to our clinic is kept under lock and key. A copy of our privacy policy is kept in the office, if you wish to take one home the front desk staff would be more than happy to give you one as well, a copy can be found under the Patient Resources section.

How should I dress?

We recommend that you dress in comfortable loose clothing that will allow the physiotherapist to access certain body parts with ease. E.g. If you are coming in for your knee, please wear or bring along a pair of shorts. This allows the physiotherapist to perform a more thorough assessment or treatment.

Are you an OHIP Clinic?

Physiotherapy services at Brooklin VIllage Physiotherapy are not covered by OHIP funding however we do have a listing of local physiotherapy clinics that do have services covered by OHIP.
